Audience | Relying on non-verbal or written forms of communication between the user and the environment allows for a wider range in the target audience, without the limitations of language, age or cultural difference that could be faced otherwise.
Project Overview | Using cinematic film principles, the project explores the capabilities of interactive storytelling in virtual reality. By utilizing high visual fidelity and immersion within the fantasy world, the project breaks away from the typical structure of a narrative story by forgoing verbal and written dialog to rely solely on animated cues from the environment and characters within the world to guide the user. The 360 VR film portions of each of the scenes, serve to anchor the user into each world and pique their curiosity to move throughout the open-world setting. While in each world, the user will be able to engage and interact with a variety of different objects and functions, that immerse the user into the fantasy world.
